i realize there is a lot of crime in jamaica, however i understood this violence started with the attempt at extraditing a drug king pin.. this is no different than the USA extraditing marc emery from canada, only we rolled over and let them have him.. screw the US and its wants and wishes.. they do enough damage on this planet.
What JAs are worshiping a Druglord? These are members of the druglord’s gang that get the small handouts that his cartel afford them. This is not all JAs fighting against the Gov’t. JA depends on the tourism industry (in addition to the fact that they have aluminium). We do not depend on foreigners for clothes, food, and $. We benefit from the tourism industry like a LOT of places? do.
But come on! While the gangs are attacking locally, do you really think that tourists are going to say that is OK while they are sitting on the beach a few miles away? This is not a large country, but a small island. I am from JA and my sister lives in Kingston. There is not one family member that would tell me to come out now and sit on the beach of? Negril.
