In 2006, DJ Superstar Jay won the coveted “Rookie Of The Year” at the Justo’s Mixtape Awards and was proclaimed MTV.com’s “Breakthrough DJ Of The Year.” And for the last 3 years, he has been on a climb straight to the top of the mixtape game, and in turn the top of the streets!
Known for his consistency and hard work, Superstar Jay has dominated the mixtape game by released over 200 mixtapes over the last few years, catering to both signedand unsigned acts. He has worked extensively in the past with Maino, Busta Rhymes, and Jim Jones as well as his Jamaica, Queens counterparts 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lamar Odom, and Ali Vegas. His most recent “I Am Mixtapes” series is a perfect example of his consistency, as he began in August ’08 and is now on Volume 30 in August ’09.
